Built from research, focused on the real world

Durance is a French deeptech startup turning years of neuromorphic research into deployable industrial technology.

Durance was founded in June 2025 as a spin-off from the LEAT laboratory, bringing more than a decade of public research into neuromorphic computing and embedded vision into the industrial world. The company builds on work conducted within CNRS and Université Côte d’Azur, with a clear objective: make advanced AI hardware usable in real systems.

Our team combines researchers and engineers with deep expertise in neuromorphic architectures, embedded systems, and computer vision. We focus on one thing only : computer vision in autonomous systems, making vision AI efficient, stable, and easy to integrate so it can quietly do its job in the background of autonomous systems.
